I do expect to be there to hang out with my friends, but I am curious what I can run towards when I need to get away from them :)

Are there any ideas, vague outlines, sketches, plans yet for games and events?

Ivan Turner created a miniatures game he will be running called Nine Kingdoms. We have been playing it for some time and it would be worth taking a look at. You can see the rules at Face to Face games.

Given laptop prevalence and physical proximity, would a pseudo-human-moderated quest with multiple helpers be something folks are interested in? Players helping you staff the event would be awarded appropriate insignia if they're not participating in the quest? Several different levels of achievements available? Might be easier than the typical quests as verbal commands could be shouted at Imm helpers to create mobs/items and/or player helpers to direct switched mob actions?

I actually meant "what events will Ubercon plan to entertain me with" but this is an intruiging mud idea.

I can see a "us vs them" scenario where we (folks at ubercon) hold a fort or something against the players.
And the advantage for us of course is as you mentioned that we can plan faster and well....have IMM commands >:)

I havent been to Ubercon in a couple years, but was a constant participant, went to the first 7 and then life took over... but now I am back and hoping to jump back into everything. How should I re-introduce myself to the con again.?

^Just show up and participate in whatever suits your fancy. I plan to be running over 15 hours worth of gaming events. Maybe you can stop by my table.

Probably the best thing about going to UberCon is the fact that you can show up and have no real idea what you want to do. I haven't gone in the last few years but assuming not much has changed I usually sign up for the Munchkin tourney and Are You a Werewolf? everything else I just play by ear. If you ever find yourself with nothing to do just take out a board sit down and within five minutes you'll have a game going with some new friends.

Always glad to have some "new blood" for my WEGS Old Skool games...

If you like wicked sword-n-sorcery adventure (lite on the rp) swing on by and roll up an Ark (hero)...

Great game for beginners or folks who are a little rust(monster)y on their rpg.

This is old skool dungeon fun with plenty o' hobgoblins to bash...
